In plain words

I have held the Naam of the One in my heart. Nothing in all the world is equal to it.

When I remember it, my troubles melt away. And I have seen You, face to face.

Hold the Naam in your heart, and troubles melt into a peace that feels like coming home.
The deeper layer

The Naam in the heart is the greatest treasure. Remembering it melts troubles away.

This is the last of Guru Tegh Bahadur's saloks. raam naam ur mai gahi-o — I have held the Naam of the One in my heart. jaa kai sam nahee ko-ay — nothing is equal to it.

jih simrat sankat mitai — remembering it, troubles fade. daras tuhaaro ho-ay — and I have your daras, the blessed sight of you. Think of a long trip, and then you see a loved one waiting at the airport gate. All the tiredness melts. That is the feeling here. The whole set of fifty-seven saloks ends in coming home, face to face with the One.
