naam rahi-o saaDhoo rahi-o rahi-o gur gobind.
The Naam remains; the Holy Saints remain; the Guru, the Lord of the Universe, remains.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਮੈ ਕਿਨ ਜਪਿਓ ਗੁਰ ਮੰਤੁ ॥੫੬॥
kaho naanak ih jagat mai kin japi-o gur mant. ||56||
Says Nanak, how rare are those who chant the Guru's Mantra in this world. ||56||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Naam stays. The holy people stay. The Guru, the Lord of the World, stays.

Nanak says: how rare are those in this world who repeat the Guru's mantra.

Passing things fade; the Naam, the holy and the Guru remain.
The deeper layer

The Naam, the holy and the Guru last when everything else passes.

Naam rahi-o saaDhoo rahi-o: the Naam remains, the holy people remain. Rahi-o gur gobind: the Guru, the Lord of the World, remains. After so many saloks about what passes away, this one names what stays.

Ih jagat mai kin japi-o gur mant: in this world, how few repeat the Guru's mantra. The few who do hold on to what lasts.
