In plain words

Nanak answers: The One lives deep within every heart; that is my seat and my home. I walk in step with what pleases the True Guru.

I came from the One, with ease, and I go wherever the One sends me. I live always within the One's will.

My steady seat is the One who never passes away. This is what the Guru has taught me.

Facing the Guru, I have come to understand and know myself, and I merge into the Truest of the True.

When you know yourself, you find you were always home in the One.
The deeper layer

Home is inside every heart. Ghat ghat bais (dwelling in each heart) is the true seat. Hukam here is the flow of existence: coming from the One and moving wherever that flow carries you, never fighting it. Gurmukh boojhai aap pachhaanai, facing the Guru and knowing yourself, is the doorway that opens onto Truth.

A Question to Sit With

What does it feel like to move with life instead of fighting it?
