In plain words

O Lord, You are Your Own Glorious Praise. You Yourself speak it; You Yourself hear it and contemplate it.

You Yourself are the Jewel, and You are the Appraiser. You Yourself are of Infinite Value.

O True Lord, You are Honor and Glory. You Yourself are the Giver.

The divine is both the Jewel and the Appraiser — He needs no external measure because He IS the measure.
The deeper layer

The divine as self-referential: speaks His own praise, hears His own praise, contemplates His own praise. This sounds like ego — but it is the exact opposite of ego. Ego is a small self trying to make itself appear large. The divine IS the reality; the praise is simply the accurate description.

'You Yourself are the Jewel, and You are the Appraiser' — Aap ratan aap parkhanhaar — the divine has the unique quality of being both the thing of value and the one who knows its value. No external measure, no external judge. The divine is self-calibrating, self-knowing, self-sufficient.

A Question to Sit With

What would it mean to know your own value directly, without needing external validation? What gets in the way of that?
