In plain words

O Dear Lord, You are the Creator and the Cause.

If it is Your Will, please save and protect me. Please bless me with the lifestyle of the Lord's Name.

The prayer: not for wealth or health, but for the lifestyle — the way of living — that carries the Name.

The prayer: bless me with the lifestyle of the Naam — not an experience but a permanent way of living.
The deeper layer

The rahao prayer asks for Naam ki pad — the lifestyle, the state, the position of living within the Name. Not a moment of the Naam, not an experience of it — the lifestyle. The permanent condition of one whose whole way of living is organized around the Naam.

'If it is Your Will' — Tis dee ichaa — the conditionality is itself the teaching: the prayer is submitted to the divine's will. Not demanding, not bargaining. Simply presenting and submitting.

A Question to Sit With

What would the 'lifestyle' of the Naam look like in your specific daily life — not as an idea but as practical actions and orientations?
