In plain words

Go and ask the travellers how to walk on the Path as His slave.

They know the Lord to be their King, and at the Door to His Home, their way is not blocked.

O Nanak — the One is pervading everywhere. There is no other at all.

Ask the travellers on the road how to walk it — then walk, because the One is pervading everywhere.
The deeper layer

This last part says: if you want to know the way, ask the people already walking it.

Puchhahu jaa-ay padhaa-oo-aa: go and ask the travellers. Chalay chaakar ho-ay: they walk as servants of the One. Ask those who are really on the road, not only the scholars or learned priests. A humble servant who asks walkers is more likely to find the way than a scholar who has only read about it. It's like learning to ride a bike from a friend who rides every day, not from a book about bikes.

Raajan jaaneh aapnaa dar ghar thaak na ho-ay: they know the One as their King, and at His door no one blocks their way.

Naanak ayko rav rahi-aa doojaa avar na ko-ay: the One is everywhere, and there is no other at all. This loops back to how this eight-part song, the Ashtapadee, began: no ritual is enough without the True One. Now we see why. The True One is everywhere, and nothing else is. Rituals point at the One who is already all around us.

A Question to Sit With

Who are the 'travellers' in your life — the people who are genuinely walking the path you want to walk? How do you learn from them?
