In plain words

O my Beloved — I have no one except You.

Without You, nothing else pleases me. And loving You — peace arrives.

O my Beloved, without You nothing else pleases — and loving You, peace finally arrives.
The deeper layer

Mayray paree-tamaa, mai tujh bin avar na ko-ay — O my Beloved, I have no one except You. After the drug of attachment described in Pauri 0 — the craving for children, family, wealth, youth — the rahao is the antidote: there is one love that actually satisfies. Not because all other loves are bad, but because when the soul recognizes the Beloved as the One without whom nothing else is enough, the craving finds its true object.

Mai tujh bin avar na bhaav-ee — without You, nothing else pleases me. This is not despair — it is clarity. The soul that has touched this knows exactly what it means: the world's pleasures are real but they don't quite fill the space. There is always a remainder of wanting. That remainder is the Beloved.

Toon bhaaveh sukh ho-ay — loving You, peace comes. Not through achievement, not through accumulation — through love of the One who is already here. This is the cure for trishna: not suppressing the craving, but giving it its true object. The drug of attachment (moh) becomes the medicine when the attachment is to the One. The rahao holds this composition together: return here when the drug pulls, and the anchor holds.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever experienced a moment when nothing else mattered because one thing was completely right — and what was that like?
