In plain words

In each and every heart, the Music of the Lord's Flute vibrates — night and day — with sublime love for the Shabad.

Only those few who become Gurmukh understand this, by instructing their own minds.

O Nanak — do not forget the Naam. Practicing the Shabad, you shall be saved.

In every heart the Lord's Flute already plays — the rare Gurmukh hears it by instructing the mind.
The deeper layer

Guru Nanak says the One's music is already playing in every heart. Only a few learn to hear it.

Ghat ghat vaajai kinguree means in each and every heart the music of the One's instrument plays. An-din sabad subhaa-ay means it plays night and day, with love for the Word. It plays in every heart, not just some. The music is already there. The question is not whether it plays. The question is whether you can hear it.

Think of a radio station that is always on the air. You only hear it when you tune in.

Virlay ka-o sojhee pa-ee means only a few understand this. Gurmukh man samjhaa-ay means the gurmukh, one who faces the Guru, teaches their own mind. The music is for everyone. Hearing it is rare. That is not because the One hides it. It is because the mind needs teaching. Most minds are facing the other way, toward the ego and maya, the pull of things that do not last. The gurmukh is not rare because of a special birth. The gurmukh is someone who turned around.

Naanak naam na veesrai means O Nanak, do not forget the Name. Chhootai sabad kamaa-ay means by living the Word, you are set free. After all of it, the body trials, the giving, the rituals, the One Light in all, the good company, the last word is simple: do not forget the Name.

A Question to Sit With

What would it take for you to actually hear the music that is already playing in your heart — what gets in the way?
