That body is called pure where the True Name lives.
The body is filled with awe of the True One. The tongue loves the taste of truth.
The True One looks on that one with a kind glance, and fills them with joy. They do not go through the fire of the womb again.
Guru Nanak says a body is truly clean when the True Name lives inside it.
Tan soochaa so aakhee-ai jis meh saachaa naa-o means that body is called pure where the True Name lives. In Guru Nanak's time, many people in India believed you were pure or impure because of the family you were born into. Some believed purity came from food rules or careful rituals. Guru Nanak did not accept that as the measure. Purity is on the inside. Nobody can inherit it. Nobody can buy it.
Think of a glass jar. It can shine on the outside, but what matters is what you fill it with.
Bhai sach raatee dayhuree means the body is soaked in loving awe of the True One. Jihvaa sach su-aa-o means the tongue enjoys the taste of truth.
Sachee nadar nihaalee-ai means that person is filled with joy by the True One's glance. Nadar is the One's kind look, the moment you are seen and blessed. That glance is what changes a person.
What makes you feel genuinely clean — not just physically, but inside? Not a ritual, but a feeling — what produces it for you?
