In plain words

Those who hear and genuinely believe — not just intellectually, but in the way that changes how you live — find the home of the self deep within.

Through the Guru's teachings, they praise the True Lord. They find the Lord, the Treasure of Excellence.

Attuned to the Word of the teaching, they are immaculate and pure. I am forever a sacrifice to those who have found this.

Genuine belief is not a thought — it is what changes how you actually live.
The deeper layer

This shabad continues Guru Amar Das's consistent theme: sune manne — those who hear and believe. The sequence is important: hearing first, then believing. Believing in Gurmat is not intellectual assent — it is the integration of what is heard into how you live.

The antar ghar (home within) is the inner sanctuary — the place Guru Amar Das returns to repeatedly. Everything you're seeking externally is already present in this interior home. The path is always inward.

A Question to Sit With

Is there something you say you believe but don't quite live as if it's true? What would change if you really acted from that belief?
