In plain words

O Siblings of Destiny — become Gurmukh and meditate on the Name of the Lord.

The Treasure of the Name stays in the mind forever. Then you find your place of rest in the Mansion where the Lord is.

The resting place is inside the mind that practices the Name — and once found, it stays.
The deeper layer

This one says: remember the Name, and you find your true resting place inside.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line. It is the center of the shabad.

Mahlee paavai thaa-o — you find your place in the Lord's mansion. And that mansion is inside the mind that remembers the Name. So the steps are: remember, the Name comes to live in you, and you find where you belong.

Naam niDhaan sad man vasai — the treasure of the Name stays in the mind forever. It doesn't come and go. Once the Name really takes root, it stays.

Think of a tree. Leaves blow off in the wind, but deep roots hold. The Name becomes that root, a new floor to stand on.

A Question to Sit With

What does it feel like to truly rest — not sleep, but rest in the sense of nothing needing to be chased or resolved? When do you feel that?
