In plain words

Let your minds be imbued with His Love, O blessed and fortunate ones. By His Pleasure, the Guru bestows His Gifts.

The Guru has lovingly implanted the Naam within me. I am a sacrifice to the True Guru.

Without the True Guru, the Name of the Lord is not found — even if people perform hundreds of thousands, even millions, of rituals.

No number of rituals substitutes for the Naam — the quantity of religious practice cannot replace its quality.
The deeper layer

The critique of ritual (karamaa) is consistent across all the Gurus in Siree Raag: millions of rituals cannot substitute for the Naam. This is not anti-practice — it is anti-substitution. If the rituals are genuine engagement with the divine, they work. If they are substitutes for that engagement, they don't, regardless of their number.

"I am a sacrifice to the True Guru" (kurbaan Satigur) — Guru Ram Das's habitual posture of complete surrender. He is always offering everything, always at the feet.

A Question to Sit With

Is there something religious or spiritual you do out of habit that has stopped feeling genuinely connected? What would it take to make it real again?
