In plain words

The Gurmukhs are the happy soul-brides. Their minds are filled with kindness.

The Word of the True Guru is the Jewel. One who believes in it tastes the Sublime Essence of the Lord.

Those who partake of the Lord's Sublime Essence through the Guru's Love are known as great and very fortunate.

Believing in the Jewel opens the tasting — trust precedes the direct experience it makes possible.
The deeper layer

The Gurmukhs are the happy soul-brides from whom the seeker was learning by washing their feet. Their defining quality: man sukh (minds at peace) and da-iaa (kindness). The happiness of the Gurmukh is not giddy or self-congratulatory — it is the deep settled peace of those who have found what they were looking for.

"One who believes in it tastes the Sublime Essence" — jo maan (who believes/trusts) → tis swaadat (they taste). Belief is the prerequisite for tasting. Not intellectual assent but the trust that comes with engaging genuinely with the practice.

A Question to Sit With

Is there something you've heard about that you'd like to experience directly but haven't fully committed to trying? What is holding you back from the first real attempt?
