Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The Lord Himself — Har, Har, Har — is the Sublime Essence. The Lord Himself is the Essence.
In His Kindness, He blesses the Gurmukh with it. And the Ambrosial Nectar of this Amrit trickles down.
Then the body and mind totally blossom forth and flourish. O Nanak — the Lord comes to dwell within the mind.
The triple Har (Har, Har, Har) — the divine Name repeated three times — is Guru Ram Das's signature intensifier. He doesn't say the Lord's Essence is like the Sublime Essence. He says the Lord is the Essence — the two are not separate.
The body and mind blossoming (tan man harao) — the physical flowering of the person in whom the divine dwells is visible. It is not just interior — it shows. The one in whom the Lord dwells blossoms like a tree given exactly the right conditions.
"The Lord comes to dwell within the mind" — mann vasai — the arrival is the Lord's movement, not the seeker's achievement. The seeker has done the preparing; the Lord does the arriving.
What does it look like when someone is truly thriving — not just happy, but genuinely flourishing? What are the signs? Who in your life most shows that?
