Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
No one can overthrow those whom the True Guru has set in place.
The treasure of the Name is inside them, and through the Name they shine and are known.
They worship the Name, and they trust the Name. The True One is forever whole and unbroken.
This one says that those the Guru has set in place can't be knocked down, because the Name lives inside them.
Jin ka-o satgur thaapi-aa tin mayt na sakai ko-ay — no one can wipe out those whom the True Guru has set in place. Once you have truly tasted the real thing, you can't un-taste it.
Onaa andar naam niDhaan hai — the treasure of the Name is inside them. Naamo pargat ho-ay — through the Name, they shine. People who live in the Name have a kind of glow others can see.
Naa-o poojee-ai naa-o mannee-ai — they worship the Name, and they trust the Name. Sikhs describe the life of such people as remembering the One and serving others.
This is real safety. Not money, not power, not being popular, but what no one can take from inside you. Think of a lighthouse in a storm. Waves crash all night, but it stands, because it's built on rock. The True One is always whole and never broken.
Is there something you know to be true about yourself — from your own experience — that no one could argue you out of? What is that?
