O my mind — focus your consciousness on the One.
Without the One, all entanglements are worthless. Emotional attachment to Maya is totally false.
This line says: O my mind, keep your attention on the One. Everything else, without Him, comes to nothing.
This is the rahaa-o line. Rahaa-o means "pause." It is the line you stop on, the center of the whole song.
Mayray man aykas si-o chit laa-ay: "O my mind, fix your chit, your attention, on the One." Aykas means the One alone.
Aykas bin sabh dhandh hai: without the One, it is all dhandh, busy tangle. Sabh mithi-aa moh maa-ay: all our clinging to Maya, the shiny world of things, is mithi-aa, false. It promises what it can't give.
Notice the word "all." Not some. A person can juggle many plans, projects and wants. Without the One at the center, none of it holds together.
That does not mean we should drop school, work, friends or family. It means the One belongs in the middle. Think of a bicycle wheel. The spokes all point to the hub. Take the hub away and the spokes just fall. With the hub in place, every spoke has a job.
With the One at the center, our daily life shows our love. Without it, daily life tries to take the One's place, and it can't.
What is at the center of your life right now — the thing that actually organizes everything else? Is it the One? Something else? What would change if the One were genuinely at the center?
