No obstacle can block a heart the One has filled.
This dark age burns hot - and the Name is cool water through it. Remember, remember, and the peace does not run out. Fear dissolves; hopes ripen.
Loving worship lights the soul. You will reach the home you never have to leave - the noose is cut.
This one says the mind wanders in every direction and finally comes home when it rests in the Name.
dah dis Dhaavat aavai thaa-ay — after running in all ten directions, the mind comes to its resting place. It is not beaten. It is done. Think of a bird that stops circling when it spots its nest. Earlier, Sukhmani showed the restless mind racing around the world in a blink. Here that mind lands.
The second picture is about heat. kal taatee thaadhaa har naa-o — this age, Kal, is hot, and the One's Name is cool. Kal, or Kali Yuga, is the old name for this dark age of the world. Picture a whole age with a fever. An earlier section called it a burning world. The coolness passes from person to person through the one Name. The tradition says the Name is the practice for this age. That is not because the standards fell. It is because the fever rose.
bha-o binsai pooran ho-ay aas — fear goes away, and hopes are fulfilled.
Then a line to share gently with a child: tit ghar jaa-ay basai abhinaasee — you will go to that home and live there forever. It is the one address with no move-out date. Every other home, however loved, is one we leave someday.
