This whole world is the home of the One — the True One lives right here inside it.
How things unfold is a mystery we can't fully read — so all we can say for sure is that a heart the One reveals itself to comes to know it.
The Second Guru calls the world the room of the True Lord — not a place the One visits, but its actual dwelling; the One lives here. The shalok is then honest about mystery: some are drawn close, some seem far, and no one can say who will be rescued — the workings are beyond our reading. Rather than pretend to explain it all, it rests in humility: the Gurmukh — the one to whom the One reveals itself — comes to know it, and that's enough. For a child: you don't have to figure out every mystery of why things happen as they do; it's enough to keep your heart open, and let understanding be given.
Is it okay to not understand everything, as long as you stay open and trusting?
