The healthy person is very sick, if he does not remember the Lord, the Embodiment of Mercy. ||25||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

For those who keep the Lord of the Universe in their hearts, even pain is a gift of grace.

And a healthy person is very sick, if they forget the One who is full of mercy.

The health that matters lives inside, in a heart that remembers.
The deeper layer

The health that matters most lives inside, in a heart that remembers the One.

People who hold the One in their hearts can meet even hard times as a kind of grace. A hard time can become something that grows them. Then the verse turns around. A person can look very healthy and still be very unwell inside, if they have forgotten the One, full of mercy.

Think of a plant that looks green on top while its roots are dry. What happens underground matters most.

Baritha anugraha: for one who remembers, pain itself becomes grace. Aarog-ya mahaa rog-ya: the healthy are very sick when they forget the merciful One.

A Question to Sit With

Think of a hard day you had. Was there anything in it, looking back, that you learned?
