Chaubolay, Verse 8 — lovers of the One look nowhere else

jaa ko paraym su-aa-o hai charan chitav man maahi.
Whoever enjoys the taste of the Lord's Love, remembers His Lotus Feet in his mind.
O Nanak, the lovers of God do not go anywhere else. ||8||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Whoever knows the taste of love keeps the One's feet in mind.

Nanak says: those who long for the One go nowhere else.

Once you taste this love, you stop searching everywhere else.
The deeper layer

Once you have tasted love for the One, you stop looking anywhere else.

Paraym su-aa-o: the taste of love. Whoever has it keeps the One's charan, the feet, in mind, a picture of humble, close devotion. Birhee barahm kay: those who long for the One. Aan na kathoo jaahi: they go nowhere else.

A Question to Sit With

When you have found something that fills you, does the searching stop?
