In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

Kabir says: my string of prayer beads is my own tongue, and on it is the Lord's Naam.

From the very beginning and through every age, all the devotees have found peace and rest in it.

The Naam on your tongue goes with you everywhere.
The deeper layer

Your own tongue, saying the Naam, is a string of prayer beads you always carry.

A simrnee is a string of prayer beads used to keep count while remembering the One. Kabir's beads are his tongue, with raam, the Lord's Naam, upon it. Remembering the One in this way is very old: aad jugaadee sagal bhagat, all the devotees from the beginning and through the ages, found sukh bisraam in it, peace that is also a place to rest.

A Question to Sit With

What is something good you can practice anywhere, with nothing but yourself?
