ਜਾਂ ਮੂੰ ਇਕੁ ਤ ਲਖ ਤਉ ਜਿਤੀ ਪਿਨਣੇ ਦਰਿ ਕਿਤੜੇ ॥
jaaN mooN ik ta lakh ta-o jitee pinnay dar kit-rhay.
When I have the One Lord, I have tens of thousands. Otherwise, people like me beg from door to door.

baaman birthaa ga-i-o jannam jin keeto so visray. ||4||
O Brahmin, your life has passed away uselessly; you have forgotten the One who created you. ||4||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

When I have the One, I have tens of thousands. Without the One, people like me go begging from door to door.

O Brahmin, your life has passed by for nothing; you have forgotten the One who made you.

*Having the One is already having everything that matters.*
The deeper layer

Having the One is having everything; forgetting the One who made you lets a life slip by for nothing.

Jaa moo ik ta lakh: when I have the One, I have a hundred thousand. Without the One, a person goes from door to door, asking.

The second line speaks to a baaman, a Brahmin, a priest of that time. The words are aimed at a hollow life, one that forgets jin keeto, the One who made it, and anyone of any faith can hear them. A life is full when it remembers its Maker.

A Question to Sit With

What is something that makes you feel “rich” even when it costs nothing?
