Those, upon whom the Lord showers His Mercy, come and meet the True Guru.

Meeting with the True Guru, they turn away from the world; they remain dead while still alive, with intuitive peace and poise.

O Nanak, the devotees are imbued with the Lord; they are absorbed in the Name of the Lord. ||18||

In plain words

Those on whom the One pours mercy — the True Guru comes and meets them.

Meeting the True Guru, they turn around from the world; they die to themselves while still alive, and live in calm, natural peace.

Nanak says: the devotees, dyed in love for the One, merge in the Naam of the One, Har, Har.

Grace brings the Guru, and the Guru turns a life around: the self goes still, and peace comes.
The deeper layer

Grace brings the Guru, and meeting the Guru turns a life around.

Jin ka-o kirpaa Dhaaree-an: those on whom the One pours kirpaa, mercy, meet the True Guru. Ultee bha-ee: everything turns the other way. The mind that faced the world now faces the One.

Mar jeevi-aa: they "die while alive." The grabbing, "I, I" self goes still, and a person lives on in sahj subhaa-ay, calm and natural ease. The devotees, dyed in love, merge in the Naam.
