O rainbird, speak the Shabad, the True Word of God, with natural peace and poise.

sabh kichh tayrai naal hai satgur dee-aa dikhaa-ay.
Everything is with you; the True Guru will show you this.

Drop by drop, the Ambrosial Nectar rains down softly and gently; thirst and hunger are completely gone.

Your cries and screams of anguish have ceased; your light shall merge into the Light.

O Nanak, the happy soul-brides sleep in peace; they are absorbed in the True Name. ||56||

In plain words

O rainbird, speak the True Word with natural calm, from the heart.

Everything is already with you; the True Guru shows you this.

Know your own self, and you will meet your Beloved; grace will pour down in heavy rain.

Drop by drop, the sweet nectar falls softly, and all thirst and hunger go away.

The crying and calling out stop; your light melts into the great Light.

Nanak says: the happy brides, the souls who love the One, sleep in peace, melted into the True Naam.

Everything you seek is already with you; know yourself, and the Beloved is met.
The deeper layer

What the seeker longs for is already near, and knowing oneself is how it is found.

Sabh kichh tayrai naal hai: everything is with you, and the True Guru shows it. The search ends in aap pachhaaneh, knowing your own self. Then the Beloved is met, and grace falls jhim jhim, drop by drop, softly.

Jotee jot milaa-ay, light merging into Light, is a well-loved picture of the soul finding it was never apart from the one Light — like a candle's glow joining the daylight.

A Question to Sit With

What might already be inside you that you keep looking for somewhere else?
