The One Shabad, the Name of the Lord, will never fail you; the Guru grants honor and understanding. ||11||

Don't stay angry — drink in the sweetness instead; none of us stays in this world forever.
Kings and beggars alike move on; everyone comes and goes.
Everyone says they'll stay, yet no one does — so to whom should I bring my prayer?
One Word, the Naam of the One, never fails you — and the Guru gives honor and understanding.
Life is short — better to drink the sweetness than to stay bitter.
Ros na keejai — set down anger and drink the amrit (nectar). Mortality is the great leveler: kings and paupers alike move on. Nirodhar — the Name is unfailing, it never wears out. Grace: gur dayvai pat matee, the Guru gives the honor and the understanding.
A Question to Sit With
Is there some anger you've been holding that you're ready to set down?
