Those Who Stay in the Name Are Free — Even From Death's Fear

The humble servants of the Lord are absorbed in the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. The pain of birth and the fear of death are eradicated.

They have found the Imperishable Supreme Being, the Transcendent Lord God, and they receive great honor throughout all the worlds and realms. ||3||

In plain words

The humble servants of the oneness — those absorbed in the Name, who have genuinely connected to it — the pain of birth and the fear of death are erased for them.

They have found the One who never ends, the One beyond all. And they receive honor throughout all the worlds.

Birth and death are real — but they are not the whole story, and those who know the oneness know this.
The deeper layer

The two great fears that haunt human life — the suffering of being born into a body (and the suffering that comes with it) and the terror of dying — both dissolve when genuine connection to the oneness is established.

Not because the body no longer suffers or dies. But because the one who is suffering and dying is recognised as not being the whole story. The wave suffers and dies. The ocean remains. Those who have genuinely touched the oneness have glimpsed the ocean — and the fear of the wave's ending loses its grip.

A Question to Sit With

Do you fear death? If you do, what specifically is it that you fear? And is there any version of thinking about it that makes it feel less frightening?
