Twenty-four hours a day, I meditate on my Lord and Master. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I spend my time in loving worship, singing about the One,

keeping the One in my heart all through the day and night.

The best goodness isn't switched on for special occasions — it's a steady thread running through your whole day.
The deeper layer

This verse is simple and steady: I perform devotional worship and sing the Praises; twenty-four hours a day, I meditate on my Lord. Naam Dayv describes his devotion not as an occasional event but as a constant, woven through all his hours — while he works, while he lives, day and night. It's the picture of a life saturated with love of the One — not compartmentalized into 'religious time' and 'ordinary time,' but all of a piece. For a child, it models something gentle and whole: the best kind of goodness isn't something you switch on for special occasions; it's a steady thread running through your whole day, coloring everything you do. Naam Dayv sings while he sews.

A Question to Sit With

How could something good run quietly through your whole day, not just special moments?
