Imperishable, Unshakable, Unapproachable and forever safe and sound is my Husband Lord. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

My mind does not worry, does not grieve, does not cry out.

My Beloved can never die and can never be shaken.

My Beloved is beyond reach, and forever safe and sound.

When what you love most can never be lost or harmed, worry has nowhere to stand.
The deeper layer

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. It is about being free from worry.

Karhai na jhurai naa man rovanhaaraa — my mind does not worry, does not grieve, does not cry.

Why? Because the Beloved can never be lost or hurt. The One is avinaasee, never ending, and sadaa salaamat, forever safe and sound.

Think of a child holding a parent's hand in a busy crowd. The child is calm because the parent is steady. Worry stops where you know your Beloved is safe.

A Question to Sit With

What worry would ease if you knew the thing you love most was completely safe?
