Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The One has saved me, His servant.
My mind has surrendered to my Beloved, and my fever has swallowed poison and died.
Surrender is the medicine that kills the fever of restlessness at its root.
A vivid image of relief: "my fever has taken poison and died." The fever of restlessness and doubt is not merely soothed; it is killed at the root, once "my mind has surrendered to my Beloved." Surrender is the poison that kills the fever.
A Question to Sit With
What inner 'fever' might quiet down if you simply stopped fighting and surrendered?
