O Father, I have seen that the world is poison.
Save me, Lord — Your Name is my only support.
The world's sweetness can be a slow poison — the Name is the one safe thing to hold.
The Pause states a hard sight: "the world is poison." Not that the world is evil, but that Maya's sweetness is toxic — it looks nourishing and slowly harms (cf. Shabad 138, the poison neutralized). The cry is for rescue, with the Name as "my only Support".
A Question to Sit With
What looks sweet but slowly harms? And what is genuinely safe to lean on?
