Whatever You give me, brings me peace. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Wherever You send me, there I go.

Whatever You give me brings me peace.

"Wherever You send me, I go; whatever You give, brings me peace" — that is the whole secret of a peaceful life.
The deeper layer

Total surrender in two lines: "wherever You send me, there I go. Whatever You give me, brings me peace." The soul has stopped negotiating with life — it goes where it is sent and is content with what it is given. This is the peace of complete trust (cf. Shabad 111).

A Question to Sit With

What would it feel like to be content with exactly what you're given?
