Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The perfect Guru has planted the Name within me.
Prays Nanak: my mind has found peace.
Peace grows from a seed the Guru plants, not from one you produce yourself.
The close credits the whole peace to the Guru: "the Perfect Guru has implanted the Lord's Name within me." The Name was planted, not produced — and from that planting, "my mind has found peace." Peace grows from a seed the Guru sows.
