Sikhism·Raag Aasaa·Shabad 151
Verse 4 of 5

Once You've Met the One, You Stop Comparison-Shopping

ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤੁਝੈ ਧਿਆਈ ॥
man tan antar tujhai Dhi-aa-eeN.
Deep within my mind and body, I meditate on You.
ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੈ ਲਵੈ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਲਾਈ ॥੩॥
tumHrai lavai na ko-oo laa-eeN. ||3||
I recognize none as equal to You. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Deep within my mind and body, I meditate on You.

I find no one anywhere equal to You.

Once you've truly met the One, you stop comparison-shopping — there's nothing equal to it.
The deeper layer

Inward devotion ("deep within my mind and body") joined to the recognition that the One is incomparable ("none as equal to You"). The soul that has met the One stops looking elsewhere because there is nowhere else worth looking (cf. Shabad 96).

A Question to Sit With

What have you found that nothing else compares to?
