The humble being who contemplates the Lord within his heart, and chants the Lord's Name, Har, Har, with his mouth,
ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਇਤ ਉਤ ਕਤਹਿ ਨ ਡੋਲੈ ॥੩॥
so jan it ut kateh na dolai. ||3||
never wavers, here or hereafter. ||3||

The one who holds the One in the heart and says the Name with the mouth
never wavers, here or hereafter.
Hold the Name in heart and on tongue together, and you stop wavering.
Keep the One in your heart and on your lips, and you stay steady.
Hirdai samaalai mukh har har bolai — the person remembers the One in the heart, and says the Name with the mouth. So jan it ut kateh na dolai — that person never wobbles, here or in the next world.
Inside and outside work as a team. Think of a table with two strong legs on each side. It does not rock. When heart and voice both hold the Name, a person becomes steady, now and later.
