Touched by Mercy, the Soul Lacks Nothing at All

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਹੀ ਤਿਨ ਕਾਮੀ ॥੪॥੨੮॥੭੯॥

- says Nanak, he does not lack anything. ||4||28||79||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The one on whom You shower Your mercy, Master —

says Nanak, that one lacks nothing at all.

Touched by mercy, the soul lacks nothing at all.
The deeper layer

The close gathers it: "that one, upon whom You have showered Your Mercy... does not lack anything." The devotee's complete sufficiency — fed, abundant, secure, served even by the siddhis — all flows from mercy. The graced soul simply lacks nothing.

A Question to Sit With

What would 'lacking nothing' feel like — not in things, but in your whole being?
