Imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord, His humble servant is blessed with good fortune. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The record of my account is wiped clean, and my doubts are gone;

soaked in the Name, the servant is blessed with good fortune.

Soaked in the Name, your long account is wiped clean — the books are closed.
The deeper layer

The Pause: "the record of my account is erased." The long tally of debts and deeds is wiped clean, and doubts dispelled. The soul soaked in the Name is not audited but forgiven; the books are closed (cf. Shabad 139).

A Question to Sit With

What 'old account' would you most want erased?
