When I took to Your Protection, O God,
ਤਾਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਮਨਸਾ ਮੇਰੀ ॥੩॥

When I took to Your protection, God,
my heart's desires were fulfilled.
In the One's shelter, your deepest wishes are quietly met.
Taking sanctuary fulfills the heart's true desires: "when I took to Your Protection, my desires were fulfilled." Not that the One grants every whim, but that the soul in His shelter finds its deepest wishes — for peace, for Him — met.
