ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਅਘ ਕਾਟਨਹਾਰਾ ॥

ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਬਚਨ ਕੇ ਬਲੀ ॥
soorbeer bachan kay balee.
They are so brave; they are men of their word.
ਕਉਲਾ ਬਪੁਰੀ ਸੰਤੀ ਛਲੀ ॥੩॥
ka-ulaa bapuree santee chhalee. ||3||

They wash away millions upon millions of sins; they dispel suffering; they are givers of the soul's very life.
They are brave, and true to their word — they have enticed even Maya herself.
The Saints turn the tables on illusion — instead of being enticed, they entice it.
The Saints' power is to give: washing away "millions of sins," dispelling suffering, "givers of the life of the soul." They are "brave" and "men of their word." And the great reversal: "the Saints have enticed Maya herself" — instead of being seduced by Maya, they have turned the tables and won her over (cf. Shabad 92).
