The one whose mind is filled with the Name of the One,
O Nanak — I am a sacrifice to him.
This one bows to the person whose mind is full of the Name.
Jis man vasi-aa har kaa naam — "the one in whose mind the Name has come to live." Naanak tis oopar kurbaan — "Nanak says, I would give myself for that person." Kurbaan means offering yourself, out of love and respect.
The key word is full. This is not someone who visits the Name now and then. The Name lives in them, like a home. Think of a friend who is kind all the way through, not just when people are watching. You cannot help respecting someone like that. Nanak bows to such a soul.
