Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Come, O Saints — let us join together and speak the Sermon of the One.

Night and day, meditate on the Name, and pay no mind to the criticism of others.

Gather with good company to speak of what's true — and don't let the critics deter you.
The deeper layer

The Pause is a warm invitation: "Come, O Saints - let us join together and speak the Sermon of the Lord." Devotion is communal, done together. And a freeing instruction: "ignore the criticism of others." Do not let mockery deter you from the path; let the critics talk, and keep meditating (cf. Shabad 132, the slandered Saints at peace).

A Question to Sit With

Whose criticism tends to deter you, and could you let it pass?
