Verse 4 of 5

Those Who Give Everything End Up Celebrating

ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਧਨੁ ਅਰਪਿਆ ਸੇਈ ਪਤਿਵੰਤੇ ॥
jee-o pind Dhan arpi-aa say-ee pativantay.
They alone are accepted and approved, who dedicate their souls, bodies and wealth.
ਆਪਨੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਣਿਆ ਨਿਤ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੰਤੇ ॥੩॥
aapnarhay parabh bhaani-aa nit kayl karantay. ||3||
Those who are pleasing to their God, celebrate in happiness. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

They alone are accepted who dedicate their souls, bodies, and wealth.

Those who are pleasing to their God celebrate in happiness.

Hold nothing back — and those who give everything end up celebrating.
The deeper layer

Those who give themselves fully are the ones who end up full of joy.

"They alone are accepted," the verse says, "who dedicate their souls, bodies and wealth." That means holding nothing back: your heart, your effort, and what you own.

Think of a player who gives everything in a match, not saving energy for later. That is the price of this trade. And then comes the reward. Those who please their God "celebrate in happiness." Giving all leads to joy all through.

A Question to Sit With

What would it mean to give yourself to something without holding back?
