As long as there are doubts in the mind, the mortal staggers and falls.
The Guru removed my doubts, and I found my place of rest.
Doubt makes you stagger; clearing it is how you finally find your footing.
Doubt makes the soul stagger — unsteady, stumbling. The Guru's removal of doubt brings "my place of rest." Steadiness is not willpower but the clearing of doubt (cf. Shabad 100).
A Question to Sit With
What doubt, if cleared, would let you finally rest?
