In plain words

Those quarrelsome enemies have been overcome, through the Guru.

I have escaped from them, and they have run away from me.

Once you're steadied, the inner enemies that hounded you turn and run.
The deeper layer

The "quarrelsome enemies" — the passions that war within — are "overcome through the Guru," and the reversal is complete: "they have run away from me." Once the soul is steadied, the inner enemies flee (cf. Shabad 186, the five demons flee).

A Question to Sit With

Which inner 'enemy' would you most like to see run away?
