The Invisible One is seen through the Guru;
O Nanak, this is the wondrous play of the One.
This one says the One who cannot be seen can be seen through the Guru.
Alakh lakhaa-i-aa gur tay paa-i-aa — the Unseen One was shown to me. I found Him through the Guru. What no eye can catch, the Guru helps us see. Guru Arjan says this in the song just before this one too.
And that itself is har kaa cholHaa — the One's wonderful play.
Think of the wind. You cannot see it. But when a kite lifts into the sky, you know it is there. The Guru is like that kite. That the Unseen can be seen at all is part of the One's marvelous game.
