In plain words

One with such destiny obtains it and crosses the terrifying ocean of fire.

He finds a place in the home of his own self, enjoys the sublime essence, his hunger appeased; Nanak, he is absorbed in peace, O my mind.

Cross the fire, and you arrive home in your own self, your hunger finally appeased.
The deeper layer

The one whom destiny favors "crosses the terrifying ocean of fire" and "obtains a place in the home of his own self" — the interior home (cf. Shabad 36). There he tastes the essence, his "hunger appeased" at last (the restless thirst of Shabad 102 stilled), "absorbed in celestial peace".

A Question to Sit With

What would 'coming home to your own self' feel like?
