Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Sing the praises of the One; meditate on the celestial music.

The tongues of the holy repeat it; this, I have heard, is the way to emancipation, found by the greatest merit, O my mind.

Praise sung outwardly opens onto a celestial music heard within.
The deeper layer

The Pause joins outer praise and inner music: sing the praises, and "meditate on the celestial music" (the Anhad). The holy "repeat it," and it is "the way to emancipation." Praise sung outwardly opens onto the unstruck music within.

A Question to Sit With

When has singing or song opened something deeper in you?
