In plain words

The one who takes happiness in the Name — pain never draws near him.

One who listens to the One's praise is obeyed by all; how fortunate that he came into the world — Nanak, he is pleasing to God, O my mind.

A soul happy in the Name draws no pain near — and carries a natural authority that needs no force.
The deeper layer

The Name-happy soul is untouched by pain, and the one who listens (Suniai) to the praise is "obeyed by all" — a natural authority that comes not from force but from being pleasing to God. His coming into the world is "fortunate" — a life that counts.

A Question to Sit With

What gives a person genuine authority that doesn't depend on power?
