In plain words

Meeting together, let us sing the praises of the One and attain the supreme state.

Those who obtain that essence obtain all the powers of the Siddhas; they stay awake night and day — Nanak, blessed by great good fortune, O my mind.

Sing together, and you gain more than all the miraculous powers people chase.
The deeper layer

This one is a call to sing the One's praises together.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line. It is the center of the shabad. mil har jas gaa-ee-ai means "meeting together, let us sing the praises of the One."

Those who taste that sweetness gain more than all the powers of the Siddhas. The Siddhas were holy people said to work wonders. The Name is worth more than any wonder (see also Shabad 156). Such people stay awake and aware, day and night.

Think of a choir. One voice alone can wobble. Many voices together carry the song. Singing together opens what trying alone cannot.

A Question to Sit With

What opens up in shared singing or worship that solitude can't reach?
