Know that the True One is the One and only;
understand that birth and death come by His Will.
Even being born and dying happen within the One's order.
This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Aisaa saachaa toon ayko jaan — know that such a True One is the One and only.
Jaman marnaa hukam pachhaan — understand that birth and death come by the One's Hukam, the order or Will that runs through everything.
Think of the seasons. Leaves come in spring and fall in autumn. That is not random. It follows a pattern bigger than any one tree. The verse says the biggest moments of life follow the One's order too. They are not chance, and they are not ours to command.
