Such is the loving devotion of contemplating the One.
The Gurmukh realizes the True Name, the Destroyer of ego.
Loving the One and thinking deeply about the One go together, and the Name breaks the hold of ego.
This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Aisay paraym bhagat veechaaree — such is loving devotion, full of deep thought. Love and careful remembering walk side by side.
Then the verse names the Name's special work. Gurmukh saachaa naam muraaree — the Gurmukh, the one turned toward the Guru, comes to know the True Name, the Destroyer of ego. Ego, or haumai, is the "me first" feeling. It sits at the root of everything that ties us up. Think of a knotted shoelace. Pull the right loop, and the whole knot comes loose. The Name pulls that loop.
